Word Wizard
Guess the secret 5-letter word in 6 tries. Green = right letter, right spot. Yellow = right letter, wrong spot.
How to play Word Wizard
Word Wizard is a 5-letter word puzzle in the Wordle tradition. You have six guesses to find the secret word. After each guess, each letter tile changes color: green if the letter is in the right position, yellow if the letter is in the word but in a different position, gray if the letter isn't in the word at all. Use the feedback to narrow down possibilities. Repeated letters work logically — two yellows means both copies exist somewhere; one yellow and one gray means only one copy exists.
Our dictionary is 14,800 words long and curated for school use — no profanity, no obscure jargon, no offensive content. The daily puzzle reshuffles at midnight UTC and is the same word for every player worldwide. Practice mode picks a random word from the dictionary, so you can play infinite rounds outside the daily.
Tips
- Open with a vowel-heavy word. AROSE, ADIEU, AUDIO — all five-letter words that test four vowels at once. You'll learn more from one of those than from CRANE.
- Don't burn guesses too cleverly. If you have three letters confirmed, guess a word that actually uses all three. Save creative letter-testing for when you have nothing to lose.
- Repeated letters are common. Words with double letters (POPPY, FUNNY, GLEEM) trap players who never test for them. Don't forget they exist.
- Streak the daily. The daily streak counter is the real game. Practice mode is for warmup; the streak is what you're after.
